Sommerfest 2020: well attended despite Corona - and positively evaluated

The Quartierverein's summer party took place at the beginning of August - under Corona protection measures. But this did not dampen the mood. Visitors enjoyed the event, as a survey conducted afterwards shows.

The traditional Sommerfest by the Quartierverein Wallisellen Süd took place in the Konradhof on Saturday, 8 August 2020 in beautiful summer weather.

Thanks to the Corona protection concept, the popular neighbourhood event could also be held in this difficult year.

The main attraction was once again the richly filled buffet with international dishes, which the visitors contributed.

The children were also delighted with the ice-cream vouchers donated by "Schokolato". The homemade iced teas provided by "Nooch" were also very popular.

A survey conducted among the QV members also shows that the residents of the neighbourhood appreciated the event very much.

Of the 22 people who completed the survey, 14 had taken part in the summer party. Of the eight who did not take part, two gave the Corona pandemic as the reason. The others were prevented from attending.

Those who attended the festival were very positive about the various aspects of the festival, such as the location, infrastructure, and the food and drinks available.

The survey also expressed the wish for the festival to take place outside the school holidays in the future. And that the event should become better known, so that more residents of the neighbourhood can take part.

We are happy to take up these suggestions and incorporate them into the planning of the 2021 Summer Festival - hopefully without any corona restrictions.
